Central Medical Stores (Formerly National Drugs Service)

Welcome to the National Drugs Service the Ministry of Health’s Central Medicine Store. It’s an honor and privilege to serve in this capacity. I am grateful and Humble. I want to commend my predecessors for every brick laid. We thrive today not just on our own Vision, Drive, Determination and innovation, but the by the strides and efforts of our predecessors.

I will like to thank the Honorable Minister of Health of Health and her able Deputies for allowing, guiding and supporting out transformative agenda. Special thanks to Key partners who have faith in our work. The USAID, support to the MOH through NDS/CMS is insurmountable. The Global Fund Continuous support to the Ministry of health over the years is indicative of their commitment to supporting the Liberian people. All Our partners and doners, the Supply Chain Management Unit and County Health Teams remain the engine of our progress.

Despite the many challenges some of which are being addressed, The CMS is firmly on an irreversible path to adequate stock out management, Stock count accuracy and electronic visibility of the national stock to key Stakeholders. In our quest to achieve these, we have zero tolerance for excuses. It is often said “where there is a will there is a way”. The National Drugs Service feds on this mantra to pull an impossible streak of consistency in delivering lifesaving medicine across the country with challenges logistics especially during the challenging rainy season.

As we turn the corner from crisis to recovery and self-reliance and self-sustainability, our collective tremendous gains have set us on an irreversible path. Thanks to the support from all stakeholders.
